Our team have undertaken several installations in March for the UK Hydrographic Office MEMS project in the British Overseas Territories of the Seychelles and Guyana.
These successful trips form part of the Marine Environmental Monitoring Systems (MEMS) 3-year Framework Agreement that OceanWise have been contracted to complete by the UK Hydrographic Office. The trips include a variety of installations, provision of a data platform, shore control and GNSS surveys, as well as local training and mentoring.
Read full details on the framework can be found here.
These essential projects are delivering environmental data like tides and weather, to local communities and government agencies. It is displayed in real-time but captured and managed for the long term. The historical data it will log contributes to planning and understanding of #tidal surges, water changes and sea level rise.
