The Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN ) and OceanWise are delighted to announce the premiere of our combined online training course 'Marine Data Management, Governance and the MEDIN Toolset'. The course will take place over five days from the 19 to 23 April 2021, with live lessons in the morning and independent learning in the afternoons.

Delivering Site Surveys and Installations Remotely throughout the Pandemic

In early 2020 the OceanWise team was putting the final touches to an environmental monitoring system which was destined for East Africa. Despite mounting restrictions imposed amid the global Covid-19 pandemic, the team innovated using remote working to ensure delivery and installation of the all-important system, whilst maintaining high standards throughout. The system has been delivering reliable wind, weather, water level, wave and current data to support safe operations and provide a historical record for engineering and planning.
