New Environmental Monitoring System for Harwich Haven
We are delighted to announce that we have been selected to deliver a new environmental monitoring system for Harwich Haven Authority (HHA) which will measure tide, weather and wave conditions at the ports of Harwich and Felixstowe. HHA, a trust port that have been operating for more than 900 years, attract trade from all over the world and sees 40% of the UK’s container traffic travel through its area. Importantly they continually strive to “ensure the safety of everyone using the harbour” and “operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, with efficiency and care”.

We will be installing a new dynamic environmental monitoring system which will continuously measure and publish real-time data via Port-Log to support the port’s 24/7 operational needs. The new system includes some Valeport TideStations which use our smart telemetry unit (ip.buffer) and allow for remote access, saving valuable time and resources for the port. We look forward to working with our partners Valeport and Gill Instruments, and Harwich Haven Authority on this exciting project.
