Staying ahead of rising waters – our new text alert service
We have introduced a new text alert service integrated into our environmental data platform, Port-Log. This service has been designed to keep customers ahead of rising waters and changing environmental conditions through providing early warning for when operations may be impacted, and evasive action might need to be taken. Text alerts can not only inform you when a threshold has been exceeded but also provide pre-warning alerts when a threshold breach is imminent, continued monitoring alerts throughout a breach event, as well as ‘standdown’ alerts once levels drop and return to normal.

Delivery of a current monitoring solution for ABP Southampton
Associated British Ports (ABP) Southampton challenged our team to provide a customised product that assists with time-critical decision-making and Pilotage. We eagerly accepted the challenge and delivered a ‘Pilots page’, which is easily accessed via our cloud-based data platform Port-Log. The webpage provides a dedicated view for Pilots and is assisting the ABP team in Southampton to reduce lost time, effort and money from aborted Pilot trips and make safe embarking / disembarking decisions, on a daily basis.
Our lobsters got released!
For Christmas 2023 we decided to make a charitable donation to a marine charity, rather than send hampers or corporate gifting. The charity we chose was The National Lobster Hatchery which is a marine conservation, research and education charity based down in Padstow, Cornwall. We ‘adopted’ over 40 lobsters on behalf of our customers and partners – these little lovelies got released in Charlestown Harbour on the 12th Feb.

Christmas cheer in January
We continued our tradition and hosted our annual Christmas team night out in January 2024. This year 18 of us hit the bowling alley in Portsmouth and had a meal in a restaurant afterwards. We all enjoyed a brilliant night together bonding over some good food and company outside of the office.
