Data Management & GIS Workshop
We are hosting our free-to-attend Autumn Marine Data Management and GIS Workshop in London on Tuesday 22nd November at the School of Economic Science, 11 Mandeville Place, London W1U 3AJ. The workshop theme: ‘Is poor data management putting your operations at risk’ is timely given the huge increase in the volume of geospatial and business data being collected and used.
The keynote address this year is entitled “Building the Web of Data” and will be presented by the World Wide Web Consortia (W3C). We will be discussing the latest developments in data sharing and publishing, Sensor Web Enablement and Open Source Data initiatives. The afternoon session includes user case studies from our port, oil & gas and environmental customers and finishes with a discussion session entitled “So why should your data matter?”
If you are involved in managing marine or maritime assets or make decisions involving marine data, then do come along and hear how, by improving the way information is managed, you can gain proven operational efficiencies and reduce risk. Investing in GIS is a great way to visualise and manage your assets and apply them to your business processes.
We look forward to seeing you to enjoy a day of information gathering, lively discussion, debate and networking. To register simply go to our website at www.oceanwise.eu/events
