Much of the focus on ‘smart ports’ is about the commercial and traffic operation. There is limited attention to the conservancy and environmental aspects of a port’s activities. These aspects require specialist knowledge around bathymetry, spatial mapping, weather and tidal monitoring data – all areas that OceanWise can demonstrate deep expertise and knowledge.
