More accreditation success!
We are delighted to announce that following our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation last year and a lot of hard work and determination, we are now also officially ISO 14001 and 45001 accredited!
What is ISO 14001 and what does it mean for OceanWise? This is an international standard for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). It endorses our quest for quality, continuous improvement and environmental responsibility. The standard has led to improvements in our environmental impact through measurable objectives such as waste disposal, reduction of power consumption, minimising use of resources such as water and electricity, and wisely using raw materials.
What is ISO 45001 and what does it mean for OceanWise? ISO 45001 is a new international standard, published in March 2018 which refers to standards for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). Achieving this standard demonstrates that OceanWise has improved employee safety, reduced workplace risks and created better, safer working conditions.
The hard work doesn’t stop here…. we believe that improvement doesn’t, and shouldn’t, stop at the point of accreditation. We will continue to seek opportunities for improvement company-wide and listen to the feedback we receive from our customers, peers and employees. We are very proud to have been awarded these recent accreditation’s which we hope demonstrates our commitment to meet customer requirements, provide excellent customer service, ensure staff safety and improve our environmental impact.
Caroline Levey, Operations Director at OceanWise, led the developments internally and comments “I am incredibly proud of the team at OceanWise to have created a comprehensive management system that covers multiple aspects of our business. We will use these standards to ensure our customers receive an excellent level of service while ensuring the safety of our team and preserving the environment”.
